Classics never go out of style and will inevitably become a fad again. Take these ripped boyfriend jeans; recycled from the 80’s rock era and then in the 90’s when grunge was cool. They’ve made a return and I scored them recently at H&M. (They are now on sale for under $20!) Boyfriend (not mom!) jeans are my favorite fit; I like the extra room and bagginess. However, some things never change…
Just as I was wearing them back in the 80’s and 90’s, my mother had the same reaction when she saw them on me the other week, “You paid money for those? They have holes in them!” And to add fuel to the fire, my 3 year old chimed in while pointing at my knees, “Mama, what’s wrong with your pants?”
But what do mothers, and toddlers, know??? ;-) I still love these ripped jeans just as much as when I was a teen! So visit your local H&M or pull your old jeans out from your closet because distressed denim is back!
