Kimono-style Maxi Dress

Now that it’s Spring, I’m ready to chuck my winter gear and pull my dresses out of hibernation. Who’s with me?! If I had to pick a favorite dress, first on my list would be a midi that hits right at my shins. I tend to stay away from dresses that are floor length and “full” because of my petite frame; it can look overwhelming. But this kimono-style maxi dress caught my eye and it was in my shopping cart before I even batted an eyelash. My favorite part is the wrap front. It’s a little risqué, especially when a breeze blows through. This dress keeps me on my toes and really tests my reflexes; when it’s windy, I have to catch the dress from flying open, otherwise I’d end up flashing the neighborhood. I guess, one could also secure the dress in place with a few safety pins… Why yes, that would easier. ;-)

Since it’s still a bit chilly, I threw on my favorite Levi’s jean jacket, which added the casual edginess I always crave. So in case I accidentally were to give everyone a peep show, at least half of me would still look decent.

How beautiful and flowy is this maxi dress. I love it. Great tassel necklace and open-toe booties, too.

Chanelle, your maxi looks divine paired with that denim jacket. Brings it from girly to edgy, and I adore that.

Speaking of looking divine, my current Project Sister Act link-up is now live and it’d be lovely to have you so please do come by and link-up if you have a second, I think the entire world would enjoy a look at that glorious dress xoxo

Love the pattern on this dress! It’s so unique.

I’m so torn on this trend! I love the olive top, but for the most part they’re a pass for me. It’s not really something I could rock at the office lol.

    Thanks for linking up!
